Ajay Varanasi has also achieved first prize under the category of oral presentation of this latest research.

He said while addressing in this annual meeting that Graves disease is seen developing more rapidly in the veterans of Vietnam War especially who were seen in contact with Orange Agent as compare to those who avoided any kind of contact with Agent Orange. It has been seen in those veterans who were having the chemical containing dioxin that this autoimmune disorder was widespread around three times more than the others.

Mr. Varanasi further said that other diagnoses of thyroid were also taken into consideration in our study but any major difference could not be found by the team of endocrinologists between nodules or thyroid cancer during this research work.

Agent Orange is actually a kind of defoliant which was widely used during the war of Vietnam in order to destroy their corps in addition to reduction of foliage jungle because the Vietnam soldiers used to hide in these areas.
