Malaysia Vasudevan Died

The well-known actor and singer, Malaysia Vasudevan, has died in a city hospital on Sunday. He sung more than 8000 songs in Tamil. Simultaneously the number of songs what he sung in other South Asian languages reaches to 4000. He also acted in several Indian films. As informed by the film industry resources, he was acting for a film when he complained about breathlessness. Immediately, he was brought to a hospital and admitted there. But around 1300hrs he passed away. His heart-rending songs were his identity. The best of his songs came in films Kizhakku Cheemaiyile and Mudhal Mariyathai. Both of these movies were blockbusters.

Malaysia Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 in Malaysia. He came to India and made his debut in entertainment. His early role in Indian stage was of a singer and actor. Later on he started to play background songs for Indian films. He also acted in 85 films. He worked with many music directors. Some of the music directors to work with him are A. R. Rehman, Deva, Shanker Ganesh, and M. S. Viswanathan. He also acted in many tele-serials of television channels.
His son, Ygendran Vasudevan Nair is also a play back singer. He has also acted in many Tamil films along with other language films. His daughter, Prashanthini is also a play back singer. Her hit song ‘Mundhinam’ came in movie ‘Vaaranam Ayiram’.
