At 12:00 a.m. local time tonight, where ever you are in the world, you will probably be celebrating the coming of the New Years Eve 2011. While the holiday is cause for celebration in most countries around the world, every location has their minor differences.

New Years Eve 2011 in New York City follows a yearly tradition of dropping a large glowing ball located in the center of Times Square. When the countdown begins, the ball is gradually lowered until it hits the bottom at 12:00 AM on January 1st.
